Looking for ways to help? You've come to the right place.
Every year the convention is hosted by a group of volunteers. As a sweeping community, I know how grateful each and every one of us appreciates all of the time, talent and financial support that goes into making the convention a success. We couldn't do it without our volunteers. If you would like to get involved here are some ways you can contribute.
Speakers - Are you an expert on an interesting or new sweep related topic that you would be willing to speak about? Submit a brief description of what you would be willing to speak about through our contact form.
Panel Members - Do you provide a service such as a newsletter to the sweeping community. I would like to put together a panel of sweepstakes newlsetter/website owners a panel/Q&A session. If you are interested, let me know your newlsetter/website through the contact form.
Donations - Is there such a thing as too many prizes???? I don't think so. Donating prizes to the convention is a win/win
for everyone. More prizes to be given away and additional opportunities for you to win too. The great thing about donating prizes is that, while we certainly hope you will be joining us, if you aren't able to attend, you will still be eligible to win just by donating. Click here for full details.
For Sale - So lets say you have a prize your aren't willing to donate, but you'll sell it to the convention for a steal. Let me know what you have and how much you want for it through the contact form and someone will get back to you. You will not receive an entry into the donation drawing, but you will get some extra cash.
Convention Weekend Help - Looking to help during the convention weekend? There are several ways to get involved.
Prize Runners - These are the people who, just as it sounds, run (or walk) the prizes back to the winners. There is no sign up sheet, no requirements, if you can run, walk, roll or scoot down the aisle to hand out prizes, you hired. When it's time to hand out prizes, you'll hear someone call for prize runners, if you want to help, then come on down. There is no commitment, you can run prizes for all the sessions, some of the sessions or one session, whatever you want.
Convention Aficionados - We've all had to go through that awkward first time at a convention, what am I supposed to be doing phase. We really want everyone to feel welcome and wanted. If your friendly and you know a thing or two about the way convention works, say hi to a newbie. Invite them to sit with you, show them around, help them out and make a friend. : )
Assembly Line - As hard as we try to get everything done ahead of time, there is usually some last minute assembling to be done. Stuffing bags....that kind of thing. Typically this volunteer section can be found sprawled out on the floor near the convention room. If you see an empty spot, jump on in and help out.
